I am a Senior Research Fellow at ELTE Centre for Economic and Regional Studies and a researcher at Central European University. I have a PhD in economics from CEU, and previously I was a postdoc at the University of Padova.
My main research interests are applied microeconomics, political economy, and development economics;I love studying these through the lens of historical data. Currently, I am focusing on extracting historical data from printed documents at scale using machine learning and AI. I do this as principal investigator of a Young Researchers' Excellence Grant and as a member of the Globalization and Industrial Policy research group at CEU&LMU.
